Congressman Jerry Carl Announces D.C. Staff Hires 

Washington, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jerry Carl (R-Mobile) announced he has finalized staff hires for his Washington, D.C. office.

Chief of Staff - Chad Carlough, a Coast Guard veteran, formerly served as Congressman Bradley Byrne’s Chief of Staff and Professional Staff on the Committee on Homeland Security.

Legislative Director – Jordan Howard, a native of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, and a University of Alabama alumnus, most recently served as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Bradley Byrne. Jordan manages the legislative team while also handling issues related to infrastructure, transportation, financial services, trade, and telecommunications.

Communications Director - Zach Weidlich, a University of South Alabama alumnus, previously served as Congressman Carl’s Campaign Manager for the 2020 cycle. Zach handles all communications for Congressman Carl’s office.

Director of Operations – Talor Allen, a University of Alabama alumna, interned on Capitol Hill and at the White House before working for President Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign. She manages Congressman Carl’s schedule and oversees the day-to-day operations of the office.

Legislative Assistant – Laura Stagno, born and raised in Birmingham, AL, has joined Congressman Carl’s office after working for USDA under Secretary Perdue. Laura handles issues related to agriculture, energy, natural resources, education, and healthcare.

Military Legislative Assistant – Matthew Bishop, an Auburn alumnus from Spanish Fort, Alabama, previously served as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Bradley Byrne. Matthew handles issues related to defense, foreign affairs, veterans’ affairs, space and science, and homeland security.

Legislative Correspondent – Charlotte McDonough, a native of Georgia, interned for Congressman Rick Allen before serving as Staff Assistant to Senator David Perdue. Charlotte manages constituent correspondence for Congressman Carl’s office.
